English Speech Contest for Indian University Students

In order to prepare university students for successful careers, ELSA hosts a national English Speech Contest exclusively for all universities and colleges students across India. 

With AI-powered speech recognition technology, every participant will be encouraged to express themselves confidently and improve pronunciation skills with ELSA Speech Analyzer and the help of our prominent judges.

Round 1

Online Application (until August 27)

Step 1

Sign up account on ELSA Speech Analyzer

 

 

Step 2

Record your speech on ELSA Speech Analyzer. While using ELSA, record your screen and take screenshots of the overall results.

Step 3

Upload the screen recording video into Google Drive. Remember to open sharing settings to public view.

Step 4

Individually submit the video and screenshot image by filling out the form below.

Note for all participants

  • The screenshot image must include overall results and 5 breakdown scores: Pronunciation, Intonation, Fluency, Grammar & Vocabulary
  • The video must not exceed 5 minutes in length.
  • The video file name should be “University Name_Your Name".

The top 30 scoring contestants will move on to the second round.

Round 2

Specialist Assessment

  • The panel of judges evaluates the top 30 video submissions and scores each contestant. 
  • Judges will determine the top 5 contestants.

Round 3

Final Challenge

  • The contestants will join a video call with our judges to give impromptu speeches live. We will determine first place, first runner-up and second runner-up within the event.
